Professor J. Gijs Kuenen
2005 marks the 25th anniversary of J. Gijs Kuenen becoming the 3rd Professor to follow Martinus Willem Beijerinck as Professor of General and Applied Microbiology at Delft University of Technology.
To celebrate this anniversary, and in recognition of the contribution Professor Kuenen has made to microbiological research and education, we are organising a symposium, to be held in Delft on the 30th November and the 1st and 2nd of December 2005.
The title of the symposium is:
Full Circle: Microbial Cycling of the Elements
At the end of the symposium, Professor Kuenen will give his farewell Professorial lecture, known as the "Uittreerede".
